DescriptionThe Group of Construction Research and Innovation (GRIC) is a research group of the Construction Engineering Department, composed of a team of professors and researchers of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). GRIC is recognized as a consolidated research group by the Government of Catalonia since 2009. The main goal of the research group is the development of innovative solutions in the construction field, throughout the whole life cycle of the construction project, from design to construction, and from maintenance operations to decommissioning. Main research areas are: Improvement of the energy efficiency of buildings, especially through the implementation of low cost and non-invasive techniques. Development of technological solutions to manage the built environment. Improvement of the environmental performance of construction projects, sites and buildings.

BIG DATA Pic&Go

Mobile and web-based technology has changed the way we manage information.
Necessary information is spread among several forms: images, sensors, textual data, voice, video, schemes, etc.
Pic&Go is a hub to integrate all kind of field information. It speeds up field data capture and allows big data analysis.
SERVICES: Data structuring: Analysis of existing data organisation; Optimisation of data structure; Implementation. Big data: Analysis of existing data organisation; Optimisation of data structure; Creation of tags
PRODUCTS: Pic&Go: A picture is worth a thousand words. Pic&Go uses pictures as the main entry point. Capture images; Contextualisation: tags, mark ups, voice, text; Transfer to cloud.
I offer this technology to cooperate with other companies and technologies to improve visibility and integrate services. I also request research cooperation in whatever field that information capture and analysis is required.
